Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

Coast Project Connect ("CPC", "we", "us") is an independent project-matching service based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. This policy explains, in plain terms, how we handle personal information in connection with our service. We handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements.

What we collect

When you submit a project brief (via our online form), we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:

  • Your name and contact details (such as email address and phone number)
  • Your suburb or general location on the Sunshine Coast
  • Details about your project — what you're planning, timing, budget range and any photos or notes you share

Our website and hosting providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure and maintain the service.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to:

  • Review your project brief
  • Where suitable, share your brief and contact details with an independent local professional so they can contact you directly about your project
  • Communicate with you about your submission
  • Improve and operate our service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

The core of our service is an introduction: where we believe there may be a suitable fit, we share your project brief and contact details with an independent local professional. CPC does not employ, endorse, vet or guarantee these professionals, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information once introduced — we encourage you to ask them about their own privacy practices.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to service providers who help us operate the website and form (for example, our form and hosting providers), subject to appropriate safeguards.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Information submitted through our online form is stored by our form and hosting providers and may be processed outside Australia. We keep submissions only as long as reasonably needed to operate the service or meet legal obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it by replying through the contact channel CPC used to reach you. If you believe we have breached your privacy, you can contact us and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the latest update shown above.
